On our shoot I learnt that Katy used to be a yellow, but is now a red-yellow.
James however is a mix of green and blue.
Whilst this Katy explained during our shoot, actually relates to the personality tests given to job candidates, and is a way of categorizing people by their character and personality traits. I think it is actually rather a nice way of explaining how Katy & James complement each other.
Katy of course knew this from the beginning and from almost the moment she set eyes on James at university in Cambridge, knew that he was her perfect match. And nothing was going to stand in her way. Not being the pushy type, however, Katy used her intelligence and skill to engineer opportunities to meet James and spend time with him….. volunteering to be secretary the cricket club? Sure, sign me up….!
Slowly but surely, her plan was working….a friendship turned into romance, the relationship blossomed and by the time Katy & James finished university they were a couple.
Fast forward 6 years and having already bought a house together, James decided to propose at their favourite restaurant in Edinburgh…..
Katy has a smile that lights up rooms – like a ray of yellow sunshine – and James is like her pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Katy cries a lot – at everything – and James smiles quietly. James is considered and measured, stable and grounded. Katy is fast, funny, lively and expressive. Together they make a beautiful whole.
It was the sweetest sunny afternoon spent wandering Regents Park with the two of them and sharing their own sunshine.
